Accessible Transportation around London

Transport will be the least of your worries during your visit to London. The capital boasts one of the best public transport systems in Europe. In fact, some might even say it’s one of the best in the world. While it’s fair to say that the Underground system is more congested than it should be at times, in a city that has a flourishing population and a growing number of tourists who visit the city yearly, this is to be expected.

With that said, continual improvements are being made, and within the next decade, a series of renovations and works will take place – meaning more carriage space, and less delays for everyone.

Londoners are said to make more than six times as many rail trips than the national average. Naturally, the system has taken into account the number of disabled passengers, and the elderly and young. Sign posts that display guidance towards customers allowing the old and the pregnant to sit in their place is prominent. As such, the general community of the Underground is safe.

With dozens of cameras scattered throughout every station, security is tight, so you can rest safely during your use of the Underground. With friendly staff located at every station, journey planners available on sight, and the range of Mobile apps you can use on the go to navigate your journey – you will find the experience of making your way through the capital easier than you can imagine.

With that said, buses are more of a pain; due to the congestion that’s quite consistent during the day and evening. Nonetheless, the bus is perfectly suitable for small trips… say from Baker Street to Marble Arch, Oxford Circus and so forth. But otherwise, you are better of using the Underground whenever you can. You can get started on the network with just a £5 deposit for an Oyster card. After that, you can use one of the many ticket machines available at each station to top-up on the go.

Whatever you do, don’t make the mistake of buying travel tickets as opposed to getting an Oyster card – the fares will be much higher.  Other than that, using Uber or the London Black cabs are you other option for travel within the city. The vehicle options can be handy after a night out – when the London Underground system shuts down after 12AM.

With the Montcalm Club Packages , you can enjoy a fine, lavish accommodation for less than you might expect. Naturally, you will be able to divert more of your budget towards the attractions and sights that cover the Landscape of London, as opposed to using most of your budget towards your accommodation of choice. Visit London this year, and enjoy everything it has to offer.
