Why you should consider Moorgate’s Hotels

Moorgate station first opened in 1865, and was the site of the worst London Underground accident -since the opening of the public transport system. The Moorgate Tube Crash led to 43 people being killed. Since then, several precautions and implementations have been introduced so that an event of such nature won’t repeat itself. Currently, the central London railway terminus has eight platforms that are in use, with an annual entry and exit number of over 25 million people. The Circle, Metropolitan, and Hammersmith & City lines all run through the station, so you won’t have trouble spotting it once you’re travelling with the tube.

While Moorgate may not be known as a spot filled with attractions, there are a series of things tourists can enjoy while they’re in the area. The business district is close to the Bank of England Museum. The UK’s central bank maintains monetary and financial stability in the country, and it’s museum is open between 10AM and 5PM. Visitors can enjoy different free presentations that are particularly suited for younger children who are seeking a greater understanding of finance. So, those visiting with family have even more reason to consider visiting the venue.

Another venue worth visiting is the Barbican – Curve Gallery. Found four minutes away from Moorgate Railway station, it features exhibitions of photography, art, and design. The venue is known for its major showsheld by leading international figures, and since its inception – it continues to showcase the cutting edge in art and design. Besides that, talks and workshops are also held at the site. Some of the events hosted include: The World of Charles and Ray Eames Members and Strange and familiar: Britain as revealed by International photographers.

The hotels near Liverpool street are found close to Moorgate, and feature the exceptional Luxury suites London has to offer. If you’re visiting London for the weekend, then we highly recommend the area around Liverpool Street and Moorgate as the ideal spot to book your accommodation in. Besides the fabulous hotels found in the area, the central spot gives uncompromising access to the best of London via the tube, and with its locale – there are more than a few art galleries and museums worth exploring.

In summary, while Moorgate may not be as famous as Piccadilly Circus, the business area is particularly suited to those travelling to the capital on business. Additionally, it has attractions and fabulous accommodations, that are also particularly suited to families travelling to London for an enjoyable holiday.
