London’s starting to heat up, not just with the weather but with the awe-inspiring range of events counting down as summer draws nearer. Whether it’s the interstellar line up of musicians playing throughout the summers firebrand good time festivals or it’s the exhibitions in the wide range of galleries across the city, there is plenty to flood your own personal Thames barrier with as the summer draws closer. Camden Fringe Festival

Based in Camden, this alternative to the Edinburgh Fringe gives anyone who can’t make it up to the iconic Fringe Festival in Scotland a chance to see some top acts in the theatre, comedy and cabaret world making a name for themselves down in London. Whether you’re looking for a laugh, some spoken word poetry or a raucous drag act, Camden is the place to be during late July and August.

 

Underbelly Festival

The Underbelly Festival on the Southbank is another celebration of all things performance. Whether you’re looking for comedy or theatre, or you just want to hang out in the beautiful beer garden overlooking the South Bank and the River Thames, then this is the perfect tonic for your day.

 

Boisdale Summer picnic

The Boisdale Summer Picnic takes place on the terrace of the glitzy Canary Wharf and provides the opportunity to partake in a hassle-free summer picnic all cooked and prepared by the wonderful Boisdale company.
