A Trip All About You

Luxury travel has fast become popular as it ensures that it is centered around one special person – you. While luxury is usually synonymous with money, this type of travel focuses on the luxury of time that you give to yourself and to your experiences in order to give yourself a truly unique holiday.

London is a firm favourite with luxury travellers due to its eclectic mix of history, West End bars and shopping opportunities. The city attracts millions of visitors every year and while it is fast-paced, it is also one that encourages you to do what you want when you want, you are in control. For you to make the most of your trip, this guide offers some tips on how to really enjoy the London while also taking care of number one.

Accommodation

However long you’re planning to stay, finding the right hotel is essential. Hyde Park hotels boast incredible views of the park itself and gives ease of access to Kensington Gardens, Knightsbridge and Buckingham Palace, you could choose to rent an Airbnb or you could treat yourself to one of the many 5 star hotels London has to offer for a truly relaxing, self-caring experience.

Exploration is Key

There are two things that must be done when visiting London: one is you must delve into the city’s incredible history and two: you must experience at least one of the spa breaks London has. First stop on the history tour must be the Tower of London as it encompasses every reign of every monarch from William the Conqueror to the present day. Today, it is open to the public and the Yeomen still guard the Tower, taking members of the public on in depth tours throughout the Tower’s history. It is a very interesting place to visit for any history enthusiast.

When you need to unwind, there are hundreds of places to choose from depending on the experience you’re looking for. If you want a full day of just sheer relaxation and pampering, the Ushvani in Chelsea is the perfect place to go because as soon as you step through its doors, you are whisked to Malaysia. Everything has been designed according to the rules of Feng Shui and the staff have been trained in the art of Balinese, Malaysian and Thai therapies. One of their most popular treatments is the Warming Herbal Ritual as it releases tension and also wards off the dreaded cold virus.

If you’re just looking for a just looking for a quick treatment between sightseeing, then the Cowshed at Primrose Hill is the place for you. With a gorgeous decor that gives a home-from-home vibe and treatments that start from £45, it is little wonder that it has become so popular.

Oyster Card

To make travelling around London cheaper and easier, purchase an Oyster Card. It acts as a prepayment pass that can be used on the Tube, DLR, buses, the River bus, National Rail services around London, the London Overground and the Emirates Air Line. You can purchase an Oyster Card online or at the ticket office at any London train station, all you need to do is pay £5 for the smartcard, add some credit and away you go.
